About Wear Metal
The idea
Wear Metal makes one thing: a cartridge form, rendered in precision-machined grade-5 titanium. No primer, no powder, no hollow casing. Just the shape, carried close, worn on a leather cord.
The first drop is two pendants in one language: the Rifle Cartridge and the Pistol Cartridge. Eleven finishes across the drop, all anodized in the titanium itself, the colour grown into the metal, not painted on.
The workshop
Every piece is CNC-turned from solid titanium bar stock in our Gujarat workshop. Bar in, finished part out, no castings, no platings. The colour finishes are anodized, an oxide layer grown electrochemically in the titanium itself, part of the metal. The same precision lathes that have run orthopaedic implants for a decade now run cartridge profiles to the same tolerance.
Hand-deburred. Hand-finished. Inspected one at a time before dispatch.
